The Serotonin Project was originally created to fill in the gap in for mental health in Christian Culture. As the body of Christ, we’re meant to help people and physically be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who need it most.
But what I’ve seen throughout my years in ministry and being involved in churches is that sometimes we miss the mark.
Well meaning believers might try to encourage others who are going through a hard time, but yet that individual will still feel incredibly alone in what they’re going through.
The Serotonin Project was created to be a place where common Christian struggles were normalized and validated. Where people could find freedom and encouragement from the shame and guilt they feel. And awareness and education of common mental health struggles could be shared.
And most importantly- to spread awareness that Christians can love Jesus, and be depressed, too.
